The prospect of finding a company to install a new roof can be stressful. Having just gone through it, my advice is twofold: First, don’t go it alone if an insurance company is involved. Secondly, use the services of Lowcountry Roofing if you want it done properly, professionally, and without complications. Spring storms caused a great many shingles to come off of my roof, leading to water damage. In addition, two plumbing vents were without the necessary “boots” to prevent water from coming in. After seeking recommendations, I happened upon Lowcountry Roofing replacing a roof in my neighborhood. I watched the crew, which operated like a well-oiled machine, and was impressed with the entire scene. I spoke with company owner, Chance Nyman. We were expecting a tropical storm in the coming days, and I was worried about the roof and open vents. He told me he’d stop by the following day to take a look. True to his word, he did, detailing what needed to be done to ensure the best outcome. An appointment was arranged with my insurance company for the following week, and he gladly agreed to meet with the inspector. Early the next morning, prior to our even having an agreement, he phoned from Lowe’s and offered to pick up the vent boots. He did this without request or reminder. He and a couple of his crew members then came to the house and positioned the boots so the impending storm wouldn’t cause further damage. They also shored up places on the roof that could have been vulnerable during the storm. The day the insurance inspector visited, Chance walked the property with him, pointed out storm damage, and explained what was needed. His expertise in that situation was invaluable. The work went off without a hitch, and I’ve never seen a harder working crew. They were fast, polite, and professional, and it was a joy to work with such a superior company. I am not only proud of my new roof, but I feel much safer as a result of their work. I couldn’t recommend more highly.
